Store
Design
It’s
exciting to open a new store, and it’s at least that exciting—if
a little more complicated—to expand or remodel your existing store.
In either case, you have a chance to create the bookstore you’ve
always wanted—a shop that is unique and memorable, reflects your
own good taste, and makes your customers feel at home—only better.
Most booksellers
have a larger than average allotment of creativity and imagination, which
means you probably already know how you want your new space to feel. But
you may need some help translating your concept into real space. That’s
where we come in. We offer vision—the ability to look at what does
not yet exist and see what it might become—as well as the skill and
understanding to make the vision a reality. We also offer something a general
retail designer might not: a deep understanding of bookselling and bookstore
operations—which means we balance aesthetics and functionality to
create a space that works for you and your customers.
We provide
consulting services in these areas of store design:
- Ambiance,
including interior lighting, colors and finish selections
- Layout,
including category allocation and fixture location
- Entrance
design
- Graphic
presentation, including interior and exterior signing
- Project
Management
Depending
on the scale of your project, we may work in consultation with a local
architectural firm or directly with building contractors. In all cases,
we will work in close consultation with you.
